I am an independent consultant with an interest in the use of technology for learning and teaching. I have worked at the Universities of Dublin City, Bath Spa, Bristol, Leicester, the Open University and Southampton. My research interests focus on the use of technologies for learning, including Open Educational Resources (OER) and Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs), new approaches to designing for learning, e-pedagogies, and social media. I have a Higher Education Academy National Teaching Fellowship and is a fellow of EDEN and ASCILITE. I have published and presented over 1000 talks, workshops and articles. I regularly blog at e4innovation.com and am @gconole on Twitter.
